Gypsum is considered the most western end of the Vail Valley.  It is adjacent to Eagle and has seen high growth over the past 10 years.  With the warmer climate, a stones throw to the airport and affordability factor, Gypsum is an appealing town.
Gypsum is comprised of commercial, industrial and residential neighborhoods.  Gypsum is home to the Eagle County Regional Airport and Vail Valley Jet Center.  Cost Co along with other businesses are situated right by the airport. This area works great for stores that need large warehouse space.  Cost Co certainly showed how our Vail Valley has grown.  Just 20 years ago, the Vail Valley couldn’t even support a Wal-Mart Store.  Now, Avon has a Super Wal-Mart and a Home Depot and Gypsum has Cost Co.  Times certainly have changed!
 
You will find a variety of neighborhoods ranging from affordable homes in Stratton Flats to golf communities of Cotton Ranch and Brightwater Club.  Other great places to live include:

Within the Town of Gypsum, you will find locals creating their dream life by opening their own business in the various commercial buildings.  You can also find some great nearby restaurants and many other modern day conveniences.  With its rolling hills and farm land along with the views of magnificent mountain ranges, Gypsum is a great place to live and work.

There are many fun things to do in Gypsum.  Homeowners and visitors have parks, bike and walking paths, and you will even find a skate park!  In the summer, you can enjoy many activities and concerts.  Gypsum is known for the 3 day event called “Gypsum Daze”  It has many fun things to do for adults and kids.  It also includes concerts which feature some very well-known musicians.  This summer, everyone will be able to enjoy the music of the Charlie Daniels Band.  Wow! In the fall, hunting is a popular sport.  Gypsum has Eagle Valley Rod and Gun Club for those interested in shooting.  You will need to inquire about a membership.

In addition to golf, you will find great fishing opportunities.  Gypsum ponds and the Eagle River offer fly fishermen wonderful places to fish.  If you prefer indoor activities, then the recreation center has many activities to select from.  Running track, pools, work-out facilities and climbing walls are just to name a few. You can see how Gypsum’s diversity will appeal to many!
