Travel 9.8 miles east of Eagle on I-70 to the Wolcott exit, and turn left, and then right onto Hwy. 6, heading east again.

Trail Highlights
:
The trail starts with a steep climb through wildflowers and aspen, becoming more gradual as you pass ranch property below and to the left of the trail.
Cross Squaw Creek and the trail follows an old road up the drainage to a large open meadow called
Salt Creek-FDT 1878, although it is difficult to find and follow, it leads in a southwesterly direction ending at Granite Springs.
